YEAR 3

Welcome to the final term of this year. Everyone is so happy to be back at school.

In Literacy, Year 3s have been learning Poetry. We have explored different types of poems such as Cinquain, Haiku and rhyming poems. Students are really enjoying writing poetry. In Grammar, we are learning about different types of sentences like statements, questions and exclamations apart from basic punctuation.

In Numeracy, we are learning about 3D Shapes, Chance and possible outcomes and Mental Division strategies.

In Science this term, States of Matter is a topic. We now know ‘What is the difference between a solid, liquid and a gas? ‘What happens when solids and liquids are heated and cooled? ‘How can changing materials from solids to liquids be useful?’
